Klymenko T. Criminal extrajudicial cases against natives of Cherkasy region during the periodof political repressions of the 1930s (based on the materials of the State Archive of the Cherkasy region)Abstract: The article, based on the analysis of extrajudicial criminal cases stored in the State Archives of the Cherkasy Region, highlights the tragic fate of citizens who lived in the territory of the modern Cherkasy Region in the 1930s. Issues related to cases fabricated in the 1930s against cultural figures, artists, education, health care workers, military personnel, and ordinary residents of the region are being considered. Special attention is paid to the repression of the wives and children of the "enemies" of the Soviet government, the deprivation of their families of benefits and material assistance, the forcing of children to disown their parents, relatives, and relatives, and the concealment of family ties. Random people who had even the slightest relation to the accused fell into the flywheel of repression. Examples of arrests based on nationality, foreign ties, and ethnic minorities, which made up a significant portion of the victims of terror, are given.
