Kyksa N. Church of the Holy Prophet Ilya in Subotov u newly discovered sources of the 18th centuryAbstract: The article presents a brief review of newly discovered sources on the history of the Church of the Holy Prophet Ilya in Subotov: protocols of episcopal visitations in 1740 and 1750 and marginalia texts on the pages of liturgical books, written in 1743, 1748 and 1756. The processed information made it possible to draw up a comparative description of the state of the Church of St. Prophet Elijah - the tomb of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi during the decade between the Uniate revisions. The manuscripts are of exceptional historiographical value, because they contain descriptive information about the internal and external arrangement of sacred buildings, church utensils, repertoire of liturgical books, data on parish clergy and church communion. The marginalia, which we introduce into scientific circulation and submit for publication for the first time, allow us to detail the history of the temple and the religious community Keywords: Church of the Holy Prophet Ilya in Subotov, protocols of episcopal visitations of 1740 and 1750, marginalia on pages of liturgical books Author(s) citation:
